Key Skills / Requirements
  • Education:

    • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree specialising in EGD or Technology; OR

    • Relevant Bachelor degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design or related fields PLUS a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

       

  • Professional Registration:

    • Valid SACE registration (or proof of application).

       

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience teaching EGD in the Senior and/or FET phases.

    • IEB or Cambridge curriculum experience is essential.

       

  • Other Requirements:

    • Proficiency in CAD and other relevant design software will be an advantage.
    • Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills.
    • Strong communication skills in English.
    • Passion for practical, skills-based teaching and innovation in the classroom.
    • Willingness to contribute to the full school programme, including co-curricular activities.

  • Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD)

  • Senior Phase (Grades 8-9)

  • FET Phase (Grades 10-12)

     

     Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver effective and engaging Engineering Graphics and Design lessons aligned with IEB or Cambridge curricula.

    • Plan, prepare, and assess academic content to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.

    • Use innovative and practical methods to develop technical drawing, design, and problem-solving skills.

    • Support and monitor academic progress and personal development.

    • Maintain high standards of discipline and academic integrity in the classroom.

    • Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and school leadership regarding learner performance.

    • Actively participate in extra-curricular, cultural, and community activities at the school.
